My story

My name is Leonardo Nieto Durán, I am a Social Communicator from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana with more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communications management, implementation of internal and external communication strategies, digital marketing, and content creation.

 

I have created and implemented public relations strategies, national and international press management, and advertising budget management, in global environments that require leadership and focus on results.

 

For more than 15 years I have worked in marketing and communication with an emphasis on economics, financial information, entrepreneurship, and investment and I have led multidisciplinary and international teams.

 

I have extensive experience and management in destination promotion to attract investment, entrepreneurship, and events in the MICE sector, as well as city brand management and creation of positioning projects for cities and countries.

 

I led for more than 11 years in the management and development of the city marketing strategy for Bogotá, Colombia, from the investment promotion agency Invest in Bogota.

Additionally, I am the creator and main manager of the Think Thank Place Branders Consultants, which is dedicated to studying, disseminating, and supporting territorial marketing, place branding, and territory branding processes in Colombia and the region.
